07.03 A new form of relationship with the world

It is the time when environmental education was restricted to place paper in a trash can or plantar mudinhas. The degradation of the environment requires that the matter be dealt with more depth and, with the guidance, the individual is prepared to transform their modes of consumption, the collective thinking and so timeless. Do the usual - and a little more - to maintain the home, the workplace and the city is not healthy choice, but necessity. "A change of attitude towards the way of consuming is part of a broader process of awareness, about living with our fellows and with the environment," suggests the teacher and researcher in the area of Sustainable Development, Suely Salgueiro Chacon. This is, in its view, the extent to which the actions of environmental education spread in many instances and on a cross, not only in classrooms, but in business, the media and the family environment.
